MY APPROACH
ABOUT ME
Jessica Weller, LMFT
Licensed Psychotherapist
Hi! I'm Jess, and I have been a therapist for 7 years. My passion is helping young adults find themselves, their path, and their purpose. Life can be hard to figure out sometimes. It can be messy and complicated and difficult. My goal is to walk alongside you as we figure it out together, while helping you feel better along the way.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by training which informs how I work with my clients. I have my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Psychology from Binghamton University and my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. My educational background, clinical practice, life experience, and personality shapes the way I approach my therapy practice.

I was born and raised on Long Island. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, practicing yoga, seeing new places, making art, and hanging with my dog.
Humanistic | Eclectic | Systemic
Throughout the therapeutic process I get to know my clients and work with them to understand themselves. I utilize humanistic therapy to help clients develop self acceptance. This approach allows client to develop a more positive sense of self.

Based on my clinical experience, I will choose different therapy techniques to use. I may pick aspects of CBT, DBT, ERP, and other evidence-based therapies in order to help the individual client I am working with. Each person is unique, and I will adjust my approach based on what each person needs.

I am always thinking about my clients in the context of their families, relationships, and environments. This may include school, work, religion, friends, etc. I am always assessing how my clients' environments may be impacting them and use this perspective to help inform their care.

Through a combination of these approaches, I aim to help my clients improve their self esteem, maintain better relationships, and begin their path to a more satisfying life.
